First Color in the Baco Noir 98 days since bud break. |
Veraison got underway June 23 when the first color showed up on the Baco Noir. I noticed it when spraying, thinking is was the product of fungus. Upon closer examination, it was the first sign of ripening in the vineyard. A week later, and now the Arandell is starting.
The Seyval Blanc and Chardonel are also starting to change, from a hard yellow green to a slightly translucent yellow.
It has been 98 days since bud break for the Baco. This is a very exciting time.
