Netting Completed

I completed the netting on the last row this evening. It's been five days since the first nets went up, and things have gone smoothly. I did a little in the evening after getting home from work. It was best about 8 p.m. when the sun was low on the horizon and the temperature had cooled (Hahaha. Cooled) into the 80s.

I netted six of the eight rows, or at least those portions of each bearing fruit, amounting to just under 1,000 feet of vines. That's a puny number by most standards, but plenty for me at this stage. There are vines planted in 2016 at one or both ends of each row that were not allowed to bear fruit this year so they could focus on vine development, thus there was no need to net them.
