Spray Date: June 14
I sprayed on this date but failed to make a timely entry in my spray diary, in part because the lack of rain in June—we had a total of 1 in. for the month—shut down spraying. There was simply no need. It was insufferably hot, beetle pressure was minimal, and conditions caused little concern about fungus.
I sprayed the same tank mix as June 1.
As of this writing (July 15) we have had 0.1 in or rain to add to the 1 in. In June. The weather has brought the shortcomings of my drip system into painfully sharp focus. In spite of regular watering, the vines are badly stressed.
This is shaping up as a terrible year in the vineyard. Such is farming.
